Sports Illustrated Promotes Our Tour of “Motor Valley” and the “Cradle of Supercars”

The Italian National Tourism Board sponsored a Sports Illustrated article promoting a Tour of “Motor Valley” and the “Cradle of Supercars.”  Featured in this article is how to understand Italy through racing and how a small postage stamp size area within Emilia-Romagna called Motor Valley contains the entirety of Italian Automotive History.

I’m excited that this article speaks to the Motorsport Lab’s effort to create a niche travel segment called Motorsport Tourism.  And, there’s no better place to begin than in Italy with my favorite brands of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Maserati, and Pagani.  Yet, the article also mentions to not pass up Emilia-Romagna’s region of “sumptuous food, ornate architecture, vibrant culture, and world-renowned art.”

“In most places, cars can reveal a country’s heart. Italy, however, is not most places. Each Italian auto is both a work of art and the perfect distillation of the passion, flair, style, history, beauty, playfulness, drama, and madness that makes Italy such a special and spectacular country.”

“A Ferrari or a Lamborghini does more than reveal the heart of this ancient place—it captures the very soul of Italy.”
