A Visit with Caitlyn Jenner

Our Los Angeles area Ferrari and Lamborghini Experiences happened at the private Camarillo Airport north of Los Angeles and there’s been a rumor that Caitlyn Jenner has an airplane hangar at Camarillo. 

Well, the rumor has been verified by me!  I was bussing our drivers to the runway that we rented and along the way, there was an open hangar that remained open for about 2 hours with a lady working underneath the wing of her airplane.  Knowing hangars are never open for that long at Camarillo airport, I realized that this lady may need help.  So, I pulled up to her hangar and offered her any assistance.  She said sure and it was Caitlyn Jenner!  Inside her hangar was not only her small private plane but a lot of cars like her father’s white mini Austin-Healy Bugeye Sprite that she restored and Purple Porsche GT3 RS with custom “Caitlyn” door kick plates!

Caitlyn asked what I was doing at Camarillo airport and I mentioned that I had rented out a runway for our Ferrari and Lamborghini Autocross experiences.  Then, she admitted that she was also a racing enthusiast and a racecar driver and had competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.  She also races with her son, Burt in the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo and the Baja 1000.

I don’t pay much attention to reality TV show stars, yet on this day, she was a fellow car enthusiast and it was great talking shop!  Caitlyn even told me the story of how she picked the Royal Purple and not Lava Orange color for her Porsche GT3 RS.  Humorously, she said that the Bruce side of her loved the Lava Orange, but she’s now Caitlyn and had to go with the diva’s Royal Purple.  Boom!  Mic-Drop!
