All Electric Lamborghinis in 2026!

Lamborghini is taking another futuristic leap with the audacious proclamation to have fully electric Lamborghinis in this mid-decade, or in my estimation 2026. The Santa’Agata based company will invest 1.5B Euros or $2B USD to achieve this new standard in exotic cars.

By 2024, Urus, Huracan, and Aventador models will all have hybrid engines, and that technology will pioneer them to achieve all-electric in 2026 on their next upgrades, beginning with the new version of the Aventador.

What’s driving all this electrification is Lamborghini’s corporate responsibility program and automotive rules and regulations to cut down their carbon emissions by 50% and then to have zero emissions on their cars.  They have already achieved zero carbon emissions from their operations at their factories, which is amazing!

I’ve personally seen Lamborghini’s first crack at a hybrid exotic car with their 2014 Asterion Concept Car.  The Asterion is downright amazing, yet, it was much too heavy in my opinion.  Moving forward, Lamborghini models will have more carbon fiber to offset the weight from heavy batteries.

“Lamborghini’s electrification plan is a change of course that was made necessary by a radically changed context, in which we want to give our contribution by continuing to reduce environmental impact with tangible projects.”

- Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini
